Angkor Wat is located in Siem Reap, Cambodia which is 6 hours (by land) and 30 minutes (by air) away from Phnom Penh. I had been there for twice. You can never find this kind of unique scenery in other country. Tomb Raider is also using the Angkor Wat scene in the movie.

The entrance fee costs at USD25 per person per day. 3 Days pass costs at USD45 per person. It takes about one full day to visit the whole area. There are few temples (Wat) in Angkor Wat which consists of Bayon temple (With Buddhist face in the structure), Ta Promph Temple and Angkor Wat.

The unique of Ta Promph temple is trees grew on top of the temple. And Angkor Wat is the most famous and largest one among all. However, I would prefer Bayon Temple compare to Angkor Wat. You can see different faces of Buddha from different angle.

During leisure time, you can go for massage in Siem Reap or Phnom Penh. The charges is between USD5-20 per hour depends on the interior of the shop. I went for a 4 hours spa package recently in O Spa, Phnom Penh to pamper myself. The price is only at USD80 which includes of facial, Aromatheraphy massage, full body scrub, full body mask, Jacuzzi, Floral bath and snacks and tea.

Chinese New Year 2008

I will be celebrating Chinese New Year with my family every year in KL since 2003. I really don’t like to spend this special festival in KL, a lonely city! How good it is if it is in Miri. No visiting, no drinking, no meeting up with old friends…

This year we are in KL as well! We had our reunion dinner with almost all my cousins from my mum’s side. Most of them came from Australia, Sabah and KL. My mum was originally borned in Ipoh but all my mum’s siblings had migrate to different places like Canada, Australia, Sabah, KL and my mum to Miri. So every year this date will be good for reunion for all my cousins from my mum’s side.

Last year we spent a few days in Ipoh! It was so bored as well as I do not have any friends there. Manage to visit some of our cousins which is not so close at all. We also went to visit our grandfather at “Sam Poh Tong”.

Many of them fall sick during this CNY, Lilian, My auntie, my brother and my dad. Not so enjoyed and everyday just went for shopping, eating, shopping, eating…

Hopefully next year will be a different year!

I promise to all of you that I’ll update everything happened in this few months. Yes, I do!

Before I started my new career and I was so bored of Cambodia, I decided to go back to Malaysia for a 2 months holiday from December – February! The trip was so enjoyed and I managed to meet up with all my friends in my hometown.

Spending everyday to do things that I like such as facial, shopping, sleeping, hanging out with friends… Like a “Tai Tai”life without any stress. No financial stress, no work stress… Everyday is FUN FUN FUN!

But now, I’m back to normal life L Work Work Work! Work is good for personal improvement and financially independent. But I can feel the different of me compare to last time in terms of commitment towards my work.

I still miss the time when I was in my hometown Miri for a month in January! I got a long period to stay at home spending time with my parents, sisters, brother (not so as he seldom stayed at home and seldom talk to all the sisters) and my best friends, ex-colleagues. It was so so fun! I will definitely plan for another long holiday to go back to Miri again!

Every weekends I would be going out with my girlfriends, for a tea, to Island Bar, Balcony or Karaoke. It was so fun! No gentlemen and it was only all Girls! I’m now counting my days to go back to Miri in September. Still another 3 more months to go….

P/S : Forgot to take pictures with my dear Dachele everytime I go back! This trip will remember.

Ready to go to work!

After didn’t blog for so long, since November 2007 till now, for a total of 7 months… Apologize to all of you for not updating for that LONG! After reading my 2 cousin's blog, Nadia and Nora which makes me want to blog again. Thanks to both of you :)

Well, recently I just started my new job in Cambodia since March as a Guest Relations Manager in a Malaysian owned 5 stars Casino Hotel here. Work is not as busy and challenging as in KL. Perks is better than KL but things here are so expensive which everything have to be spent in USD.

The people here are not so concern of the personal grooming as much as like in Malaysia or Singapore. That’s the reason why I have to conduct a grooming class for all my female staffs. To teach them of the body posture, walking posture, basic make up techniques. It was so fun as my ambition is actually to become a make-up artiste and not a Hotel General Manager.

Hehe…. Anyway, that was my ambition during those teenagers time but my parents do not really want me to end up to become a beautician or make up artiste.

But, I still manage to take a short make up course few years ago to fulfill my dreams.

About the town!

Phnom Penh is a small town and from one place to another place is just so near... However, the traffic here is so terrible and worse than in KL. Lots of motorcycles, tutuk and motor taxi along the road.

Not only that, you can also see something that you can never see in Malaysia. View photos below then you can know more about what i'm talking about. This is just like the "Van Penjaja" in Malaysia. They are used to sell pottery in Cambodia.

The most important thing for a lady....

Suddenly something in my mind which i feel is the most important thing for a woman, no matter you are in a good mood or bad mood, these things are just so precious to maintain yourself and also to release your tension...

Guess what! That's the home care products and spa products for our daily routine life. No matter how busy is my schedule and where i travel to, i'll bring along my own set of daily facial care and my cosmetic pouch with me. I work in the hospitality industry and the event line in this couple of years. Therefore, personal grooming is very important for me. It is to show your respect to your guest or clientale and to build up your own confident. As a woman, i also believe that self-confident is the natural ingredient for us to fight on certain circumstances and to remain strong in any of the situation.

Therefore, light or natural make up is a must in the industry...

I thought that it'll be a bit difficult for me to get all the skin care brands in Phnom Penh.. I guess i was wrong. SK2 and Dermalogical and some of the products from France can easilly got here.

My daily skin care~

And a miracle mask which is so good and i just wanna share with all the ladies here. If you have any problem on your face such as Acne, Oily skin, Wrinkle skin or dry skin...This mask is just so good and it can get from any of the Sasa shop. It's called the Kirara Mask from Korea. The price is quite expensive which is ard RM230 for 5 small bottles of mask. 1 time equvalent to 1 bottle. I use it twice a week to maintain my skin. Though the price is too expensive, i divided into twice in a bottle which i can use twice for a bottle. However, the result is still the same...

I really love spa and i'll always pamper myself in my home spa every week. Though it'll cost a lot for me to go for the spa every week. Spa products can easily get in anywhere in Phnom Penh. The price is much more cheaper and the ingredients are just so natural compare to other items. For Body Scrub wise, The Body Shop Spa Wisdom Body Scrub is the best item among those i bought from Thailand, Bali or here... And i really enjoy resting at our bathtub here with the Bath Salt which bought from Phnom Penh Airport at

My ABC Soup

We had been here for about a month plus... Well, life here can be interesting and can also be pretty boring. It depends on what type of lifestyle you like.

I love to dress up nicely all the time. I am very particular on my personal grooming... Thanks for my instructor in my grooming lesson in the preparation on the modelling industry back in 2001. If not because of her, i will not know the basic ways of make up and grooming...


In cambodia, i was restricted to dress up. I love dresses and sleeveless singlet or baby-t or short skirt. I started to wear T-shirt and jeans now which the people here will look at you at one kind if you dress up too sexy or bla bla bla.... I feel very uncomfortable on that. Traffic and safety wise is horrible here... will post some photos of the town next couple of days.


Had learned cooking recently. My cooking skills had improve a lot... Had boiled some soup for the second time~ The ABC Soup... My all-time favourite.
